When You Feel Spiritually Stuck, Start Here

"Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths."

What This Scripture Means
Sis, have you ever found yourself wondering, "Why do I feel so stuck?"
Maybe your prayer life isn't what it used to be. You open your Bible but don't know where to start. You love God, yet you feel distant from Him. You know He's calling you deeper, but you aren't sure what your next step should be.
If that's you, I want you to know something you are not alone.
Proverbs 3 wasn't written to people who had life completely figured out. Solomon reminds us that following God begins with trust, not understanding. We naturally want God to explain every detail before we obey. We want to know where He's leading before we take the first step. But Scripture teaches us that God doesn't ask us to understand everything He asks us to trust Him.
Notice the promise isn't that God will make every season easy. The promise is that He will direct our paths. As we choose to trust Him, even when we don't have all the answers, He faithfully leads us one step at a time.
Sometimes the very thing keeping us stuck isn't that God has stopped speaking. It's that we're waiting for the entire roadmap when He's only asking us to take the next faithful step.
What This Looks Like Today
Sis, maybe you've been praying for clarity about your purpose.
Maybe you've been waiting for God to open a door, heal your heart, restore a relationship, or answer a prayer that feels like it's been sitting in heaven for far too long.
In seasons like these, it's easy to believe that nothing is happening.
But often, God is doing His deepest work in places we cannot yet see.
Before God reveals our assignment, He often strengthens our faith. Before He opens the next door, He teaches us to trust Him in the hallway. Before He shows us where we're going, He reminds us who we are.
Your relationship with God isn't measured by how much you know. It's built one conversation, one prayer, one chapter of Scripture, and one act of obedience at a time.
If you've been feeling spiritually stuck, don't put pressure on yourself to have everything figured out this week.
Simply spend time with Jesus.
Open His Word.
Talk to Him honestly.
Let Him meet you right where you are.
Faithfulness in the small moments is what produces transformation over time.
This Week's Challenge
This week, spend 10 uninterrupted minutes with God every day.
Read Proverbs 3:5–6 each morning before reaching for your phone.
Ask yourself:
"Lord, where are You inviting me to trust You today?"
Write down one thing you're choosing to surrender to Him and one promise from Scripture you're choosing to believe.
Don't focus on perfection.
Focus on showing up.
Reflect This Week
- Where have I been leaning on my own understanding instead of trusting God?
- What area of my life is God inviting me to surrender this week?
- What is one small step of obedience I can take today?
A Prayer
Father, thank You for meeting me right where I am. When I feel uncertain, remind me that You are faithful to lead those who trust You. Help me to stop leaning on my own understanding and teach me to walk by faith, one step at a time. Draw me closer to You this week and help me find peace in Your presence instead of answers. In Jesus' name, Amen.
